Media Law and Ethics

[ Studying "Law and Ethics" is nonsense because we all lie and we all cheat. If you start denying, you will only prove me right ]

I threw that statement in a moment of anger just because I knew I will have to get up very early each morning to attend this extra boring class (Media Law and Ethics). But now that I am in a good mood, I am rethinking and wondering about what I said.

having given that statement.... to what extent do you think it's true? And to what extent do you think not?

I think that it is essential and vital to study the law and ethics especially if you are entering the media field, but come on, we do all lie and cheat to some extent. (Generally speaking, at least)

media law and ethics have an awesome relationship.. not one necessarily supported by society but a connection nonetheless..

having gone through exactly such courses there is a lot that could be said..

i would probably sum itup by saying make sure you read:

travels in hyperreality by umberto echo and 1984 by george orwell - you might also consider the brave new world.. there are some great texts that walk the ultra thin line connecting and separating these topics..

enjoy :)

The study of ethics is essential. Well, your ethics will be tested several times through your career, and recent scandals made it important to include teh study of ethics in all educational fields
